The wisdom of crowds
Point forward studied the complex topic of workplace collaboration in eight large enterprises in a wide variety of industries and locations. We spent up to three days in each setting interviewing individuals and groups as well as simply hanging out to observe meetings, phone calls, and "water cooler" conversations. We found that current ways of collaborating fail to work well for complex, long-term projects that are conducted by people from diverse disciplines. We offered a model that outlines ways technology could vastly improve the ways people work together. |
